YOUNG WOMEN'S TRUST
Young Women’s Trust is a charity with a proud history and a new focus. Evolving from YWCA England & Wales which was formed over 150 years ago, we want to change the story of young women. Because what happens to them now impacts on their lives forever. Girls and women today face problems that are often subtle or misunderstood. Despite shifts in attitude and changes in the law, women are often unheard, isolated and face discrimination.
VOLUNTEER POLICE CADETS (VPC)
The Metropolitan Police Service (MPS) Volunteer Police Cadets (VPC) is a voluntary, uniform youth organisation for young people from London’s 32 boroughs. For anyone aged between 13 and 19 we offer fantastic opportunities to take part in interesting adventurous and challenging activities, to develop skills, make friends and have fun and to make a real difference to local people. We are not a recruiting ground for the MPS, we inspire all young people to achieve to their highest level and develop as engaged citizens who take an active part in their communities.
Our aims are to:
- Promote and encourage practical interest in policing among young people.
- Provide training which will encourage positive leadership within communities.
- Encourage the spirit of adventure and develop qualities of leadership and good citizenship.
